Cultural
Food

When people talk about food from other countries, they usually think about some stereotypes; for example not all American people eat pizza or hamburgers, also not all Chinese people eat anything that moves.
This topic is very interesting because people from all around the word eat different types of food every day. People from different backgrounds eat very differently;  and as I said earlier,  it’s very common think stereotypically  when you hear specific words or phrases about some countries or foods.
No matter where we grow up or live, eating is one of the most personal experiences of life, that’s the reason why  food is an important aspect of each culture, because food represents the nature or identity from each country.

A CROSS-CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE

People from different nations generally have thought like that, and it’s because each culture has its own food taboos.
Some Indians find eating cows gross but it’s normal to Westerners, while some Peruvians  eat cats, some don’t.

The food not serves only to provide nutrients and energy, is also a way for the people to remember its own culture and especial moments. Every culture  has its own standards for what is socially acceptable and what is not socially acceptable, right now we are part of a cross-cultural globalization, that’s the reason why we can found many different kinds of food, customs and people in different countries. As part of the globalization process happening all over the world, you should open your mind every moment to other customs, people and different ways to think.  The food preserve the culture and contribute to connect the people that’s the most important reason why you should be more  tolerant.
